What is xiixii?

A media pipeline directly to a massive and specific young Chinese audience.

Is it a website?

xiixii is a brand. We started building the brand will with a web media platform. By 2010 xiixii will be extended to cater for different media in China.

Is xiixii.com a webpage with user-generated content?

No. We source western content, which can’t be found on Chinese websites, and tailor them into different channels.

How does the platform look like?

It’s full of channels filled with music, fashion, video entertainment and much more; all linked to a networking platform for a like-minded audience.

Why don’t the young Chinese just go to western webpages get the same information?

The main reasons are language and cultural barriers. And western pages are enormously slow in China due to distance and censorship filter processes.

Why have young Chinese been waiting for it?

xiixii meets the demand of 13 million affluent middle-class Chinese youngsters who love western culture, but there is not one website in China dedicated to this content.

Why has nobody done it before?

For companies in China it is difficult to be on the pulse with western trends to deliver fresh and new content.
For western companies it’s nearly impossible to get the licence needed to broadcast in China.

Where is the revenue coming from?

For the initial stage, innovative and unconventional marketing products and content production are the main income of xiixii.com. In the second phase we introduce further synergetic revenue streams, i.e. xiixii-shop and xiixii-mobi.

How will content partner profit?

We are sharing income from advertising with the content partners i.e. a band or a film producer.
